About Us
My name is Jacob Parr, and I own Level Zero Woodworking. Working alongside my family, we aim to serve the needs of the woodworking community with education, projects, and even business opportunities of their own.
I've spent most of my professional life as a full stack software developer and, in that career, successfully raised and supported a family of 8+ children: two biological, one step, three adopted, and two in-laws. During that time, I amassed an extensive collection of woodworking skills and tools as my children and I did everything from maintaining our home to creating toys, custom furniture, and much more.
Today, I'm retired from software development. But my love to teach and share what I know has led me to start Level Zero Woodworking (because we all have to start somewhere). Bringing to the table a wide variety of skills, ranging from software development, electronics, woodworking, resin arts skills, welding, home automation, construction, and much more, we aim to create a fusion of technologies & abilities. To share them with the masses through entry-level projects for children and adults of all ages.
Getting started in woodworking can be intimidating. From not knowing where to start to the misconception that you need tens of thousands of dollars to equip a shop. Instead, we do the hard part by boiling each project down to an easily approachable kit. We work with all the dangerous tools so that you don't have to. And we tie it all together with videos to accompany our projects. At the end of the day, we aim to build a community around and share the love of woodworking with each new generation.
